Day one (1)

Take cabbage soup and all varieties of fruits that you may desire or want but do not take bananas. On this day other drinks can be taken such as water, unsweetened tea, cranberry juice and black coffee.

Day two (2)

Eat as many varieties of vegetables as you can and these can be raw, cooked, fresh or even steamed. Green leafy vegetables are the best as compared to dried vegetables and legumes. They are usually taken along with cabbage soup. When dinner comes, take a baked potato (large in size) with butter. On this day no fruits are taken.

Day three (3)

On this day, a mixture of foods taken on day one and day two (apart from baked potato) are eaten. Eat all the fruits, vegetables and as usual cabbage soup.

Day four (4)

Along with cabbage soup, take as many bananas as possible (up to eight bananas) and drink as many glasses of skim milk as you can. This will reduce the desire to consume sweet food.

Day five (5)

Missed your meat for four days! This is your day to enjoy white meat especially chicken or fish. Also on this day, take a maximum of six fresh tomatoes and six to eight glasses of water. On this day cabbage soup should be taken once. Beef can also be taken in place of fish and chicken (without the skin).

Day six (6)

Vegetables and beef: Eat a lot of green leafy vegetables as much as you can together with some 2-3 steaks of beef. Take cabbage soup once and no baked potato should be taken on this day.

Day seven (7)

Take unrefined rice (brown rice), green leafy vegetables and fruit juices which are not sweetened. Eat these foods as much as you can and eat cabbage soup once on this day.

Fiber is bulky and when consumed, it does not yield hundred percent calories. A reduction in calorie intake will force the body to exploit other sources of energy and this will only be the fat stores in the body. The stores will be broken down for energy thus weight loss. Fiber is also known to bind water which is necessary for digestion leading to a decreased number of calories that result from digestion. Tea and coffee on the other hand have an effect on the rate of metabolism to the positive. Increased rate of metabolism promotes fat breakdown in the body and with a decreased level of fats in the body, the total body mass will most definitely decrease. Bananas must be avoided at all costs as they are rich in starch which may frustrate the initial efforts of weight loss. Water is also included as it is essential in breakdown of fats and it will fill the stomach together with cabbage soup thus suppressing the appetite as one will be feeling fuller most of the day.

Day two (2)

These vegetables can be prepared in the way that you love them; raw, cooked or even steamed. Dry legumes such as peas and beans must be avoided as they have some amounts of starch which may not be desirable. No fruits on this day but when dinner time comes treat/reward yourself with a baked potato in order to supply the energy that is required by the body especially vital organs. As usual cabbage soup must be taken along with vegetables and the baked potato.

Day three (3)
